The snow flakes that are falling tonight are stunning. I used my macro 100 mm lens to capture these pictures. I am going to try again tomorrow in the light just to see if there is a difference

lights camera action
My boy on a normal day in 2013
TJ had one busy weekend. Saturday he had to read with actors/actresses auditioning for roles in an upcoming episode he was filming. Sunday he filmed on location in Hammond IN all day. I came a little early to pick him up so I could watch a little.
Look below at what they did to my TJ!
It was a flashback scene and yep it was smack dab in the 80's
My boy when they throw him back to the 80's
The writer sent me this picture during a break .
Needless to say TJ's new name on set is "dream teen" as he was very popular with the female extra's
TJ and Grace his co-star, they play brother and sister. Great thing is Grace lives just a suburb away, so we car pool every weekend.
tid bit on Grace: she played Annie in the Broadway musical of Annie and traveled the US for 9 months at age 9. She has quite the resume
OMG!
Monday was spent at Navy Pier doing a 3 hr promotional photo shoot. It was a beautiful day and everyone involved in the project is just a blast to hang with. Above, TJ is getting direction from the photographer. I'm pretty excited to see the shots since the show is a comedy and they are all insane.
Thats all I can say

My Cal and Katiebug
We had the pleasure of Katie's company the last 3 weekends in Whitewater with us. She is just a delight to be around, totally down to earth and fun.
Her and cal were total troopers when it came to me and my camera. All pictures were spur of the moment. I even invited myself on thier nature walk to collect flowers for Katie's crown for the Renassaince Faire. I love a girl that won't gripe because she doesn't have make-up on
These pictures below were shot in Vivid mode. They turned out super cute, I wasn't sure how they would look becasue Im not a fan of the over use of the saturation button. I think they look natural with a giant pop
Never under estimate the power of a pick-up truck
Nightly board games that went on for hours

My Niece Kristin
Here is a sneak peak from my niece's American wedding reception. Kristin and Jack were married in November in a castle in Mancester UK. Jack is from London and they met at college in Boston. They now reside in London
The weather didn't cooperate all week for out planned photoshoots, but we were able to sneak away at the reception and steal some shots.
I'll have to have a separate post for all the photo bombs....this is one of my faves

Callahan and Katie's 8th grade photo shoot
Friday I had the day off, so we had a photshoot. These are the outfits that Callahan and Katie wore to their 8th grade dance on the "Spirit of chicago". I love how they are color coordinated.
I just love the above picture, it is genuine and sweet.
The chemistry these 2 have is fantastic and they are very comfortable together.
I shot at Babcock's Grove Cemetery and Terrace View Park both very close to our home. These two were so easy we were done in no time.
Im having picture withdrawls, been so busy that I've only done a handful of photoshoots lately

real life fairy garden
Just a fun looking photo
I have been so busy that I haven't taken a lot of pictures lately and certainly nonefor just the fun of it. I did 2 professional shoots in April, but thats it. Today was a fantastic picture taking day in Long Grove. The sun was shinning and the grounds were bursting with color. I love this shot becasue it has a watercolor/fairytale look to it and I caught Karrick smack dab as he ran through the sunlight. I did add some upper left sunlight, but other than that it's SOOC
Shot with Canon zoom 75-300

filming day 3
Our 3rd day of filming brought us to Highland Park on the lake front. It was cold but super fun. I only stayed for half the day. Below is TJ with the Director.
I know I am his mom, but I think TJ is just adorable. I did receive the same feedback from just about everyone on set
the extra's above
TJ does the 50's well
This is Emilie with an "ie" she was hired to do hair and makeup for TJ. When Karrick introduced himself as "Karrick with a K" she responded emilie with an ie"
She was super cool and fun. she is also a jazz singer downtown
