TJ: Pitcher and 3 rd Baseman for the White Sox

TJ got 2 hits, right center and center field

3 base pick off

Art

I tried unsuccessfully to write about my multiple neck injections and my impending
Radiofrequency Ablation (zapping those nasty nerves in my Cervical spine)
so here is Art

I really enjoyed when fellow bloggers posted their kids art work. No matter where
anyone lives or what kind of school their kids attend
we all pretty much have the same art work.
Made original by our child's creativity

Gotta love the clay...still have 1 more child to add to the collection

A friend of a friend from a different suburb posted their childs Lion
very similar to Karricks

My kids went to every possible preschool

my fave(Montessori and creative movement)

Waldorf school- little granola out there
for me but great water color art work

Now Karrick at a catholic school we get the religious
end

Baseball

TJ finally had his 1 st practice game of the season.
White Sox vs the A's. The last 2 games were cancelled due to
weather and poor field conditions.
Today we had to play on the soccer field
because there was a 10 x 4 foot trench behind the pitchers mound
The sun was shinning, the wind was blowing and
we had to lend the A's 2 players
Nothing was going to stop this game.

Can you believe I left my camera on my desk? Aarrrrgh...
I bought a disposable camera. awful awful awful
No zoom, no preview, no delete and certainly no pixels

My White Sox blanket...don't judge

That tiny speck pitching is TJ

TJ is such a sport in regards to my over the top
obsession with baseball. I'm loud, I'm intense and I play to win
( Well, actually TJ plays)
I'm not alone, there is a group of us "baseball moms"
that belong to this club.

TJ had a lot of fabulous pitches and some not so fabulous pitches.
At one point he got so mad that he threw a fast ball that made
every spectator, in unison suck in their breath
A lone voice was heard above the sea of silence
"Holy crap, that had to be 80 mph"
Straight over the plate and knocked the catcher over.
PS: It wasn't me that said it, my jaw was still on the ground

Was it 80 mph? probably not.
Avg for a 12 yo is 50-55 mph

The coach then made a little visit to the mound and
a giant smile grew on his face
and Yes, he calmed down

Bowling

With Tim skiing in Colorado and TJ and Callahan
up in Michigan with the Chriske's
Karrick and I bowled and we bowled
and we bowled

Safari Land Bowling

yeah, I got a strike

Hooray for the wonderful worker at Safari Land
She suggested Buttercup wear a wristband if he was to
play in the Lions Den with Karrick
That about made karrick's day

We even bowled in the driveway

For Karrick's birthday Papa Henry gave him money.
While he was on the phone thanking  "grandpa"
he says
"thank you for all my money, I am going to buy my own boeing set"
and he did 2 of them to be exact.
 6 pins isn't enough

New Comp cards

Callahan and Karrick had a photo shoot with
for new head shots. My 3 boys have been exclusive
for over 7 years. This was my boys first time shooting with Nicole
She was excellent and very engaging with Callahan and Karrick.
Nicole clearly enjoys children and photography and made
 my children feel special
Karrick just came to life with many original poses.
I don't care how out going a child is, if they are not comfortable
with the photographer it will show in the prints.
I am just thrilled with the preview shots that were posted on Nicole's blog
and can't wait to see the rest
Thank you Nicole for a wonderful shoot
