a little more Galveston

We stayed at the Moody Garden's Hotel and Resort and it was pretty nice! There were giant pyramids that housed an aquarium, rainforest and a 3D IMAX theater. A big water park was also on the grounds, but didn't open until May 1st

Erin and I spent our days just relaxing poolside. There was a hospitality suite that opened to the pool just for the lifeguards. It came stocked with soda, water, every kid of beer and liqour known and snacks. We could come and go as we pleased. The air conditioned suite made for a nice break from Galveston's heat. The picture below was taken from our room

Thursday night Vic, the retired head of Galveston Sherrif beach patrol treated the Chicago and Hawaiian guards to his friend Luigi's restaurant,  Luigi's. I never had pasta that was made fresh, holy cow what a difference. Truly a wonderful experience
Luigi's is housed in an old Bank built in 1897. Here you can see the old vault and tiled floor
