COP vs FIREMAN

Tomorrow night Sept 12, 2009 my older brother Patrick Moran is competing in a pure MMA Charity fight. "Mixed martial arts (MMA) is an intense and combat sport in which competitors use a mixture of forms of fighting that include Jiu-jitsu, judo, karate, kick boxing, wrestling others to their strategic and tactical advantage, in supervised matches"

Charity Fight- Cop vs Fireman

Policeman versus Fireman- it's one of the oldest and most vicious rivalries. On Sept 12, 2009, Pure MMA will feature a charity fight where pride, respect and honor are on the line. In this exciting battle of the badges, Larry Linderman, a law enforcement agent will be pitted against Patrick Moran, a fireman with the Chicago Fire Department. Luckily, for Pure MMA spectators, we're going to be able to watch them battle it out in the ring.

Who will come out with bragging rights?

I am one of the 10 lucky family members that will sit ringside at the VIP table to witness this HORROR. I'm sure I am paying $60 to cover my eyes and scream the entire night.

What I do for charity...

My only knowledge of MMA fighting comes from an old you tube video that show a mans leg being snapped in half. I'm almost positive that I was told this was a boxing match prior to my "in" response. I must admit that while I'm excited

to watch my brother, I am freakin terrified

that someone is going to get hurt. I watched

my sister Christine box through the cracks in my fingers

and damn near had a heart attack.
